The Story: In the fall of 2020 a student found themselves in the middle of a transformative experience. The mixture of being immersed in a group of like-minded learners along with encountering the ethics and principles of Permaculture left this student hungry to continue their own development and work on their own site. It also left the student wondering how to give back. The alumni thought: “How can I help others engage in this work?” They landed on the 'fair share' ethic of Permaculture and approached us with a proposal. The alumnus has offered to sponsor one student anonymously for each course over the next 10 courses. We are so very grateful at SPI for this alumnus’ generosity and commitment to the Permaculture ethics. Inspired by the act, SPI decided to match the donation. In total, there are two full scholarships available.
